Experience FUSION at its most spectacular
FUSION FLAIR was a rare opportunity to experience fusion style – with a unique Ontario point-of-view. The heart of the event was a sublime feast with a menu by world-renowned fusion cuisine master Patrick Lin of Metropolitan Hotels and its group of restaurants, including Lai Wah Heen, Lai Toh Heen and Senses. Some of Ontario's finest wines and spirits accompanied dinner. The evening also showcased timeless fashion as interpreted by the celebrated designers of Blanc de Chine. These sensuous creations were accessorized by precious jewellery from Masterpiece by King Fook.
The historically significant event marked the first time a Canadian political leader has been hosted in China by Chinese Canadians, namely Mr. Richard Ling (Borden Ladner Gervais, LLP), Mr. Henry M. Wu (Metropolitan Hotels), Mr. Kin Yeung (King Fook Jewellery Group & Blanc de Chine), and Mr. Joseph Tse (Deloitte).
Chef Patrick Lin's menu for the evening showcased the best of fusion cooking techniques developed in the multi-cultural society of Ontario, as well as indigenous Shanghainese such as hairy crab. The evening was judged as one of the most enjoyable and successful event of Premier McGinty's trip to China.
